Mid-Level/Senior Software Engineer — Urrly, U.S. Remote

Build applications, APIs, integrations, and data workflows for Urrly’s AI-powered healthcare operations. Help improve production performance, reliability, and data quality across a database-intensive software environment.

Description

  • Develop applications, APIs, integrations, data workflows, and internal tools supporting healthcare operations.
  • Own features from initial problem definition through implementation, testing, release, and ongoing improvement.
  • Use Ruby on Rails, Python, Node.js, and PostgreSQL in a database-intensive environment.
  • Improve application performance, data quality, reliability, and production observability.
  • Partner with engineers, product colleagues, and business stakeholders to deliver effective solutions.
  • Balance technical considerations pragmatically while shipping useful software.
  • Apply AI coding tools with careful review, testing, and accountability.
  • At the senior level, lead broader technical initiatives and contribute to architecture decisions.
  • Strengthen engineering practices while continuing to contribute hands-on.

Requirements

  • Three or more years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Production experience with Ruby on Rails or Python.
  • Ability to learn and contribute across the technology stack.
  • Strong SQL skills and practical PostgreSQL experience.
  • Working knowledge of data structures, API design, testing, debugging, and system performance.
  • Experience delivering web applications or full-stack functionality.
  • Understanding of how user interfaces, services, and databases work together.
  • Experience with Git, code review, testing, deployment, and production support.
  • Clear communication, intellectual curiosity, and adaptability as requirements evolve.
  • Practical experience with AI-assisted development and the judgment to verify its output.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
