Description

  • Develop iOS experiences that support account capabilities for millions of Airbnb guests and hosts
  • Take ownership of defined features from technical planning through release
  • Build iOS functionality with declarative UI and unidirectional state-management patterns
  • Work with product and design partners to create refined, accessible mobile experiences
  • Coordinate with backend, Android, and web engineers to maintain consistent behavior and data across platforms
  • Produce clean, tested, maintainable code and contribute to technical and design reviews
  • Collaborate with experienced engineers and incorporate feedback into your work
  • Help establish reusable iOS patterns and engineering practices as the team grows
  • Investigate and fix iOS bugs, performance problems, and reliability issues
  • Partner with Payments and Wallet, Identity & Privacy, Profile & Community, and Guest & Host teams across product, design, and data science

Requirements

  • At least three years of professional iOS engineering experience, including feature delivery in a large-scale consumer application
  • Strong Swift skills and experience with modern iOS architecture, including SwiftUI, unidirectional state management such as MVI, MVVM, or Redux, and dependency injection
  • Experience integrating APIs with backend and other platform teams while maintaining consistent cross-platform behavior
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver features from technical design through launch and subsequent iteration with increasing independence
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, including a willingness to seek and apply feedback
  • Comfort working through ambiguity on a newly established team
  • Sound knowledge of mobile performance, accessibility, and release or CI practices for a large-scale consumer app
  • Residence in a state where Airbnb, Inc. maintains a registered entity
