Lead GCP Cloud Architect — United States Remote

Lead secure Google Cloud architecture and governance for federal health customers. Guide landing zones, migrations, Terraform automation, hybrid connectivity, and cloud compliance.

Description

  • Create and manage GCP landing zones aligned with FedRAMP High and NIST standards
  • Evaluate pilot initiatives and emerging workloads, then define production-ready architecture and implementation paths
  • Direct application and data migrations from on-premises environments and other cloud platforms to GCP, including secure hybrid connections
  • Advance Terraform-based Infrastructure as Code to deliver repeatable, version-controlled, and compliant environments
  • Implement cost management, governance, and resource-tagging practices that provide transparent ownership and accountability
  • Architect and oversee secure Google Cloud solutions supporting a federal healthcare customer
  • Partner with system administrators, application engineers, and project teams to run, modernize, and migrate cloud applications
  • Define the technical strategy for incoming workloads
  • Provide support to cloud operations and migration teams

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience
  • At least 8 years of experience in cloud architecture, solution engineering, enterprise architecture, or a comparable technical field
  • Demonstrated success designing, governing, and integrating secure GCP environments, including FedRAMP High- and NIST-aligned landing zones
  • Experience designing GCP networks with Network Connectivity Center, multi-VPC architectures, highly available Cloud VPN, and Interconnect, including solutions compliant with Trusted Internet Connections policy
  • Background modernizing legacy applications with GKE and serverless services, along with leading application and data migrations to GCP
  • Advanced Terraform skills and practical experience with cloud cost control, governance, and resource tagging
  • Strong communication skills for explaining complex technical subjects to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to obtain and retain a federal Public Trust background investigation
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Must have lived physically in the United States for at least three years
  • Selected candidates will undergo a security investigation and may need to satisfy access requirements for protected or classified information
