Lead ETL Software Engineer, Regulatory Risk and Compliance at PNC

Lead ETL engineering for PNC’s regulatory risk and compliance reporting systems. Design data-intensive applications, reporting workflows, and enterprise software.

Description

  • Lead the technical design and development of software solutions.
  • Design software solutions for complex business needs.
  • Prepare technical and procedural documentation.
  • Resolve complex technical problems.
  • Guide and support colleagues on technical matters.
  • Review software code, tests, and documentation.
  • Use modern principles, methods, and tools to advance business initiatives and capabilities.
  • Lead and collaborate on data changes, from consumption through reporting, including their design and programming.
  • Build data-intensive applications that meet business and regulatory needs.
  • Create SCD mappings with varied source formats and transformations.
  • Optimize targets, sources, mappings, sessions, and workflows for performance.
  • Deploy ETL code using DevOps tools.

Requirements

  • At least five years of development experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Formal project experience using a methodology such as waterfall or agile.
  • Advanced design and programming skills with Informatica PowerCenter 9.6 or later and Oracle SQL/PLSQL.
  • Proficiency developing and debugging PL/SQL code.
  • Ability to create SCD mappings from different source formats using appropriate transformations.
  • Experience tuning targets, sources, mappings, sessions, and workflows for performance.
  • Ability to design HTTP transformations.
  • Experience deploying ETL code with DevOps tools.
  • Hands-on knowledge of UNIX shell scripting and the CA7 job scheduler.
  • Intermediate skills in data analysis and data modeling.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • A comparable combination of education, job-specific certifications, and experience, including military service, may be considered in place of a degree.
  • Banking and regulatory reporting experience is a plus.
  • Alteryx experience is preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, or Oracle BI is preferred.
  • Hands-on knowledge of Teradata is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of software design patterns and architecture is preferred.
  • No certifications or licenses are required.
