Junior Safety Analyst – Remote Australia

Junior Safety Analyst role reviewing reports involving potential harm to minors for a global technology client. The position includes OSINT and in-platform investigations, risk documentation, and reporting to stakeholders.

Description

  • Review and process abuse and safety incident reports, including cases involving potential harm to minors, in line with established procedures.
  • Investigate behavioral abuse and threat actors through open-source intelligence and in-platform research to assess techniques, context, and impact.
  • Document analytical findings accurately and consistently while meeting operational deadlines.
  • Prepare concise written summaries, briefings, and investigative reports for internal and client stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with colleagues, cross-functional partners, and vendors to process requests efficiently and accurately.
  • Help improve investigative processes and maintain knowledge resources.
  • Develop investigative expertise through training, shadowing, and peer-review activities.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of experience in trust and safety, behavioral abuse investigations, or related intelligence or research work.
  • Familiarity with OSINT, social media investigations, or online risk analysis.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly and objectively.
  • Knowledge of online behavioral threats, influence operations, or content-moderation principles is preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases under tight deadlines while maintaining close attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of the intelligence or investigative lifecycle, including data validation and source evaluation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as International Relations, Criminology, Cybersecurity, or Communications, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Permanent Australian work rights.
