Description

  • Lead and develop the Clinical Operations team, setting priorities and organizing daily work.
  • Forecast workload and manage production capacity to reduce bottlenecks and handle volume changes.
  • Create tools to monitor patient volumes, processing capacity, error rates, blockers, and team workload.
  • Develop and coordinate a continuous improvement roadmap to expand processing capacity over time.
  • Drive the roadmap with Product, AI, and Engineering, monitor R&D deliverables, and see improvements through to implementation.
  • Maintain cohort quality and help prepare data exports for research projects.
  • Learn the Clinical Operations workflow in depth, reduce errors and bottlenecks, and support growth from 100–200 to 300–600 structured patient cases per week without tripling resources.

Requirements

  • A strong track record in a startup or scale-up where processes, tools, and responsibilities were still being established.
  • Practical experience with real-world data or real-world evidence, ideally creating or using patient cohorts.
  • Healthcare or scientific experience that supports understanding of medical data and clinical research challenges.
  • Demonstrated experience leading an operations team.
  • Experience organizing and managing complex operations using data and KPIs.
  • Ability to turn a specific operational challenge into a structured improvement plan.
  • Experience collaborating closely with Product, Data or AI, or Engineering teams.
  • Ability to advance a cross-functional roadmap and hold teams accountable for deliverables.
  • Preferred: Background in data management, biostatistics, epidemiology, or a related scientific discipline.
  • Preferred: Experience structuring registries, healthcare databases, or real-world data cohorts.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with clinical research and engagement with health authorities.
  • Preferred: Strong understanding of AI and engineering applications in healthcare data.
