Full-Stack Developer (Java & Angular) – Hybrid in France

Build and enhance Wezen’s SaaS content management platform for content owners, copywriters, and translators. Work across Java, Angular, AWS, MySQL, and Redis to deliver reliable, scalable solutions.

Description

  • Partner with Product, Design, and Engineering to design and deliver new product capabilities
  • Help shape technical direction and architectural choices
  • Produce clean, maintainable, high-quality software
  • Review code and strengthen engineering standards
  • Find and pursue improvements across the product and codebase
  • Build and support backend services with Java, Spring, Hibernate, and Lombok
  • Develop and enhance user-facing functionality with Angular
  • Design and optimize data storage and retrieval using MySQL and Redis
  • Contribute to the broader technology stack, including Node.js and PHP/Laravel when appropriate
  • Deploy and run applications in AWS environments
  • Track and improve application reliability, performance, and scalability
  • Refine development and release workflows
  • Work in an Agile Feature Team
  • Coordinate with Product Owners, Designers, Developers, and other stakeholders
  • Take part in technical evaluations and technology benchmarking
  • Share expertise and participate in Engineering Guilds
  • Own assigned work while helping shape shared team decisions

Requirements

  • Demonstrated software development experience through professional work or substantial personal projects
  • Solid knowledge of Java and/or modern web development
  • Experience working across frontend and backend technologies
  • Sound understanding of software engineering principles and best practices
  • Business-level proficiency in written and spoken English
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with non-technical stakeholders
  • Curiosity about software development and technology, with a commitment to ongoing learning
  • Collaborative, proactive approach to solving problems
  • Preferred: experience with Spring, Hibernate, and Angular
  • Preferred: experience with AWS or other cloud platforms
  • Preferred: experience with MySQL, Redis, or relational and NoSQL databases
  • Preferred: experience working in an Agile or Scrum environment
  • Preferred: experience with Node.js, PHP/Laravel, or other programming languages
  • Preferred: experience with major CMS platforms such as Drupal, Adobe Experience Manager, or Salesforce Commerce Cloud
  • Preferred: knowledge of Natural Language Processing (NLP)
  • Preferred: experience working in an international organization
  • Preferred: experience in a technology startup or scale-up
