Front Office Support Analyst - New York Hybrid

Support MUFG’s equity and fixed-income trading platforms in a hybrid New York role. The position covers production support, troubleshooting, automation, and regulatory reporting operations.

Description

  • Deliver daily production support for equity and fixed-income trading systems
  • Assist traders, sales professionals, and other front-office stakeholders
  • Investigate and resolve application, infrastructure, and connectivity problems
  • Monitor trading and regulatory reporting systems to maintain reliable operations
  • Coordinate with technology, operations, compliance, and business teams on key initiatives
  • Diagnose recurring system problems and deliver durable fixes and process enhancements
  • Create scripts and automation that improve operational efficiency
  • Contribute to upgrades, releases, testing, and change-management processes
  • Support regulatory reporting activities and related controls

Requirements

  • Professional experience supporting front-office trading technology
  • Working knowledge of equity and fixed-income trading processes
  • Strong analytical ability and practical troubleshooting skills
  • Hands-on familiarity with Windows and Unix/Linux environments
  • Experience using Shell languages such as sh, ksh, or bash, and/or batch scripting
  • Programming experience with Python, Java, C#, or C++
  • Capacity to work independently in a demanding, fast-moving environment
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Preferred: Familiarity with equity regulatory reporting, including CAT, TRF/ORF, and Rule 606
  • Preferred: Familiarity with fixed-income regulatory reporting, including TRACE
  • Preferred: Experience with FIX Protocol versions 4.2–5.0 and routing platforms
  • Preferred: Experience supporting Bloomberg TOMS, Ullink Bridge, FlexTrade, or comparable OMS platforms
  • Preferred: Experience with Oracle, Sybase, MongoDB, or other relational and NoSQL databases
  • Preferred: Knowledge of JavaScript and current web technologies
  • Preferred: Advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities, including macros
  • Preferred: Understanding of equity and fixed-income securities and the trade lifecycle
