Finance Supervisor, Sysco, Edmonton Hybrid

Supervise finance associates and local accounts payable operations for Sysco in Edmonton. Oversee invoice processing, vendor transactions, customer prebates, compliance, and improvements to financial processes.

Description

  • Supervise Finance Associates and local accounts payable operations
  • Guide finance associates in accurately coding and promptly processing expense invoices under company policies and procedures
  • Oversee the accurate, properly documented preparation and processing of debit and credit notes
  • Manage vendor debit and repayment transactions while maintaining accuracy and regulatory compliance
  • Investigate and resolve aged vendor payable and invoice issues
  • Train, coach, and evaluate finance associates through ongoing feedback and performance support
  • Partner with the Commercial Finance Manager on customer prebate processing and payouts
  • Work with other departments to streamline financial processes, improve efficiency, and strengthen coordination
  • Maintain compliance with Sysco Food Safety policies and procedures
  • Promote Environmental, Health and Safety performance and hold the team accountable for EHS requirements
  • Foster and support an inclusive workplace culture
  • Complete other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • At least three years of experience in finance or accounting
  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in accounting preferred
  • Proficiency with financial management software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical ability, including identifying and resolving discrepancies
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for working with colleagues and stakeholders
  • Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to perform under pressure while meeting deadlines
  • Adaptability in a fast-paced, changing work environment
  • Compliance with Sysco Food Safety policies and procedures
  • Compliance with Environmental, Health and Safety programs, policies, and requirements
