Field Applications Scientist, Sales (China)
Support ONI’s Nanoimager and scientific workflows by enabling distributor-led customer evaluations and technical sales across China and regional markets.
Description
- Provide scientific and applications support in the field to help ONI and its partners secure business across China and designated regional markets.
- Join distributor-led customer meetings and uncover technical needs.
- Deliver product demonstrations, evaluations, workshops, and scientific presentations.
- Equip distributor applications teams to position and support ONI workflows.
- Keep technical claims, application positioning, and customer expectations accurate.
- Advance opportunities through technical evaluation and competitive differentiation.
- Surface scientific objections, technical risks, and requirements that could affect deal progress.
- Develop technical close plans for priority opportunities with Sales and partners.
- Contribute to strategic conferences, workshops, and market development.
- Share market, application, competitor, and customer feedback with ONI teams.
Requirements
- An advanced scientific degree or equivalent experience in applications work.
- Expertise in microscopy or relevant life science workflows.
- Customer-facing field applications experience is strongly preferred.
- Ability to communicate in Mandarin and English.
- Ability to train and influence distributor technical teams.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively within China and the region.
