Description

  • Collect application capabilities and non-functional needs from stakeholders.
  • Turn requirements into end-to-end infrastructure designs and implementation plans for client services.
  • Assess and right-size existing customer environments for migration to public cloud.
  • Design and build infrastructure on AWS.
  • Move virtual and physical systems from existing environments to newly provisioned AWS infrastructure.
  • Develop migration strategies and principles, plus high-level and detailed public cloud design documents.
  • Build AWS Landing Zones aligned with the AWS Cloud Adoption Framework.
  • Conduct FinOps assessments.
  • Design and deploy cloud-based disaster recovery solutions.
  • Design and implement hybrid cloud architectures, including networking and security.
  • Assess and recommend infrastructure options to support smooth migration of business services.
  • Put suitable IT practices and controls in place.

Requirements

  • At least 12 years of hands-on experience delivering AWS cloud build projects, cloud migration and transformation, and Active Directory migration.
  • Ability to interpret business needs and turn them into robust, efficient solutions within optimized effort and budget.
  • At least 6 years of experience with infrastructure as code, automation, and DevOps tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
  • Hands-on shell scripting experience.
  • Experience setting up hybrid cloud environments and integrating networks.
  • Experience with hybrid cloud architecture, networking, and security.
  • Experience integrating SaaS products, especially infrastructure services, identity and access management, and Azure AD.
  • Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience with VMware Infrastructure versions 4.x, 5.x, and 6.x.
  • Knowledge of VMware and Microsoft licensing, Hyper-V 2008 R2 and 2012 R2, and System Center Virtual Machine Manager.
  • Experience with AWS networking, security, compute, storage, and disaster recovery services.
  • Experience using migration and data replication tools.
  • Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2008, 2008 R2, 2012, and 2012 R2, including licensing.
  • Experience with Active Directory Services and Failover Clustering Services.
  • Technical knowledge of Active Directory, LDAP, NTP, and SMTP services, including upgrades and migrations.
