Director of Technical Programme Management - London Hybrid

Description
- Own Zilch’s most complex and business-critical technical programmes across teams, systems and functions.
- Convert company and technology priorities into defined outcomes, roadmaps, milestones, dependencies and success measures.
- Create clarity around ambiguous challenges involving uncertain solutions, technical approaches or delivery paths.
- Give leaders and teams a clear view of timelines, risks, decisions required and key trade-offs.
- Foster a high-trust culture built on ownership, momentum and business impact.
- Define clear accountability while protecting team autonomy.
- Drive decisions to the appropriate level and escalate when alignment or leadership intervention is required.
- Make reversible decisions efficiently, learn from results and adjust course quickly.
- Strengthen collaboration across Product and Engineering.
- Recruit, lead and develop a high-performing TPM team.
- Build a culture that attracts, develops and retains outstanding talent.
Requirements
- Substantial experience leading complex technical programmes and TPM teams within a high-growth technology organisation.
- Ability to earn the trust of senior business and technology leaders and influence them effectively.
- Demonstrated success turning ambiguous strategic priorities into delivery across multiple teams.
- Strong technical fluency and credibility when partnering with senior engineers and architects.
- Sound judgement in challenging situations, with the ability to guide difficult trade-offs toward clear decisions.
- Proven experience building, managing and developing high-performing teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level communication.
- Data-driven approach to evaluating and improving delivery and organisational performance.
- Comfort working at speed amid ambiguity and change.
- Strong interest in using AI and automation within modern technology organisations.
- Experience in fintech, payments or another regulated sector is advantageous.
- Ability to work from the London Victoria office three days each week.
