Description

  • Design, implement, deploy, and support secure CI/CD pipelines, cloud-native infrastructure, observability capabilities, and automated application delivery in a Department of Defense environment.
  • Build automated CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins or CloudBees, Artifactory, Kubernetes or OpenShift, Docker, Ansible, and Bitbucket.
  • Automate application releases, configuration, testing, and infrastructure operations.
  • Create automated tests with Ansible, Selenium, JMeter, JUnit, and other appropriate tools.
  • Support Kafka, Elastic, Kubernetes or OpenShift, Docker, and AWS environments.
  • Configure applications to send network data to an Elastic Stack deployment hosted in AWS.
  • Diagnose installation, infrastructure, application, and system problems.
  • Create dashboards and observability solutions covering health, performance, availability, security, utilization, and cloud spending.
  • Implement monitoring, alerting, automation, incident detection, root-cause analysis, and reliability enhancements.
  • Embed security controls and compliance monitoring into delivery pipelines and production systems, and help remediate security findings.
  • Evaluate cloud usage and apply rightsizing, idle-resource, storage, compute, and FinOps improvements.
  • Oversee certificate provisioning, renewal, rotation, and expiration tracking.
  • Take part in Agile ceremonies, demonstrate completed work, collaborate with distributed teams and stakeholders, and report status, risks, and recommendations.
  • Provide technical leadership and keep engineering and operational documentation current.

Requirements

  • Hold an active TS/SCI security clearance.
  • Maintain a current Security+ certification or a higher or equivalent credential meeting DoD 8570 IAT Level II or above requirements.
  • Have a relevant technical bachelor's degree and 8–12 years of related experience, or a master's degree and 6–10 years of related experience.
  • Have developed software in Agile environments and demonstrated the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
  • Have experience with distributed version-control systems such as Git and Bitbucket.
  • Have software development experience on Linux platforms.
  • Apply software engineering principles, theories, and concepts in practice.
  • Manage multiple priorities, self-assign tasks, and work effectively on a geographically distributed team.
  • Demonstrate strong communication, technical presentation, leadership, organization, documentation, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Be willing and able to complete and maintain additional customer suitability screenings during employment.
  • Preferred experience includes Python, Java, SQL, JSON/REST, JavaScript, AWS, Jenkins, Artifactory, Ansible, Kubernetes, Docker, Atlassian tools, Agile/Scrum, DoD or DISA environments, STIGs, software design artifacts, and code and technical reviews.
