Build secure AWS data platforms for MAPFRE’s insurance analytics and AI initiatives in an onsite Webster, Massachusetts role. Focus on infrastructure automation, CI/CD, DevSecOps, and cloud operations.

Description

  • Build and enhance a cloud data platform for AI and analytics
  • Enable advanced data products for sophisticated users
  • Contribute to an agile data engineering team using modern technologies
  • Partner with the data architect and project stakeholders
  • Support MAPFRE USA’s shift toward data-driven operations
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning
  • Embed security controls in CI/CD pipelines through DevSecOps practices
  • Perform threat modeling, vulnerability assessments, and incident response
  • Monitor and log cloud infrastructure and systems
  • Improve system performance and manage cloud costs
  • Work across Development, Operations, and Security teams
  • Support data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least six years of experience
  • Deep knowledge of AWS services, including EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, Lambda, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, ECS/EKS, and RDS
  • Experience automating infrastructure with AWS CloudFormation or Terraform
  • Knowledge of AWS networking concepts, including VPCs, subnets, NAT gateways, security groups, and routing tables
  • Proficiency with Jenkins and GitHub Actions
  • Experience using Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
  • Strong scripting and programming ability in Python, Bash, or PowerShell
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps practices
  • Experience with Snyk, Trivy, Checkov, or AWS Inspector
  • Knowledge of IAM and least-privilege principles
  • Understanding of NIST, CIS Benchmarks, SOC 2, HIPAA, and GDPR
  • Experience with Docker and ECS, EKS, or Kubernetes
  • Proficiency with AWS CloudWatch, CloudTrail, ELK Stack, Prometheus/Grafana, or Dynatrace
  • Experience with Splunk, AWS Security Hub, or GuardDuty
  • Ability to perform threat modeling, vulnerability assessments, and incident response
  • Knowledge of SQL, NoSQL, Snowflake, and graph databases
  • Experience with Jira, Jenkins, GitHub, Bitbucket, Terraform, and Airflow
  • Familiarity with Airflow, Glue, or EMR
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work with cross-functional Development, Operations, and Security teams
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Experience improving system performance and cloud costs
  • Agile/Scrum experience
  • AWS certification is a plus
