Data Governance Architect at Lovelytics (Remote, United States)

Lead data and AI governance strategy, cloud architecture, migrations, and governance implementations for Lovelytics’ enterprise consulting clients. The role combines technical delivery, client advisory work, presales, and Databricks-based solutions.

Description

  • Develop data and AI governance strategies that support business goals and recognized industry practices
  • Build, communicate, and implement compliant data governance policies, procedures, and operating frameworks
  • Evaluate and apply emerging technologies and methods to strengthen governance capabilities
  • Deliver governance strategies that improve data discovery, quality, access, usability, AI use-case assessment, and AI readiness
  • Direct the migration of complex data architectures from on-premises systems to cloud platforms
  • Implement governance controls that strengthen data security and regulatory compliance
  • Use containerization to improve application scalability and deployment efficiency
  • Coach engineers, assess architecture and code, and support teams during implementation
  • Drive technical discovery, define solution architectures, answer RFPs, and deliver demonstrations and proofs of concept for data engineering projects
  • Produce technical blueprints and select tools, frameworks, and design patterns suited to client requirements
  • Work with sales and account teams to scope projects, develop technical proposals, and present governance capabilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline
  • At least five years of data governance experience, including four or more years in client-facing work, ideally within professional services
  • Advanced command of data governance capabilities described in the DAMA-DMBOK
  • Certification in governance platforms such as Unity Catalog, Atlan, or Anomalo
  • Expertise with Databricks and Spark
  • Background creating proofs of concept, technical presales presentations, and engagement pricing
  • Strong communication skills for influencing both technical and executive stakeholders
  • Experience using Google Workspace, macOS, Slack, and Atlassian tools
