Data Engineer and Solutions Architect II (Remote)

Remote Data Engineer and Solutions Architect II responsible for scalable data pipelines, enterprise architecture, and governed analytics. The role supports secure, reliable data solutions for healthcare operations at Ob Hospitalist Group.

Description

  • Build and operate scalable ETL and ELT pipelines that connect databases, APIs, flat files, and enterprise applications
  • Create and refine data models, warehouses, and Microsoft SQL Server environments for analytics and business intelligence
  • Track pipeline performance, resolve failures, and strengthen data quality, integrity, availability, and reliability
  • Automate recurring data processes to minimize manual work and deliver consistent, efficient workflows
  • Develop complete technical solutions that meet business needs and follow enterprise architecture standards
  • Assess cloud services, integration approaches, tools, and technologies across AWS, Azure, Azure Data Factory, SSIS, and GCP
  • Produce architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and supporting solution documentation
  • Work with security and compliance partners on HIPAA requirements and robust data governance
  • Advise cross-functional teams on data, integrations, applications, and systems design
  • Collaborate with the Director of Organizational Performance & Analytics and other organizational stakeholders

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience
  • At least five years of experience spanning data engineering, solutions architecture, Strategy, or a combination of these areas
  • Hands-on expertise with Microsoft SQL Server, SQL, Python or a comparable programming language, ETL and ELT tools, data warehousing, API integration, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Proficiency in Strategy is required
  • Ability to turn business requirements into scalable technical designs
  • Strong communication skills for working with engineers, business stakeholders, and organizational leaders
  • Healthcare data, HIPAA-compliant environments, and enterprise data governance experience are preferred
