Data Analyst, Data Science Projects

Use Python and Tableau to develop data-driven insights for HP data science initiatives. The role covers analysis, visualization, experimentation, presentations, and patent documentation.

Description

  • Apply subject-matter expertise to resolve routine and complex business challenges within established guidelines
  • Recommend data-informed solutions that support meaningful business decisions
  • Contribute to the investigation, design, development, execution, and implementation of data science projects
  • Develop project plans, data collection and analysis methods, and visualizations that communicate insights
  • Work with internal and external partners to conduct experiments and validate results
  • Create procedures with subject-matter experts for collecting, recording, analyzing, and communicating data
  • Prepare literature reviews and presentations for peer review, publication, and industry or scientific events
  • Draft patent applications and related supporting documentation
  • Guide and mentor team members with less experience
  • Work alongside peers, junior data scientists and engineers, subject-matter experts, and research and product development partners
  • Contribute to initiatives that require data science engineering

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD in mathematics, economics, physics, computer science, or a comparable field
  • Four to six years of experience, including graduate or postgraduate research
  • Strong knowledge of data analysis methods, statistical principles, and data validation techniques
  • Strong project management capabilities
  • Proficiency in Python for data analysis
  • Experience using visualization tools such as Tableau to build dashboards and communicate insights
  • Foundational AI knowledge, including the use of AI-enabled tools to improve data analysis
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with close attention to detail
  • Ability to work with structured and unstructured data from multiple sources
  • Excellent communication skills for presenting complex findings to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and advance data-driven decisions across organizational levels
