CST Application Engineer, New Graduate Rotational Program

Join Cadence’s Customer Support Team as a CST Application Engineer in a structured new graduate program. Build experience through two six-month rotations spanning design, verification, applications, and technical customer support.

Description

  • Join Cadence’s Customer Support Team through its New College Graduate Rotational Program
  • Apply industry-leading electronic design automation tools
  • Partner with technical specialists and assist the sales organization
  • Deliver front-line design services, technical sales support, and customer assistance for Cadence users
  • Collaborate with Cadence account teams to solve complex technical challenges
  • Complete a cohort-based, one-year program with two six-month rotations and practical training
  • Train across digital design and simulation, physical design, analog design and layout, package design, systems design, and advanced verification and emulation
  • Move into a regular full-time CST business group role after successful program completion, based on your interests and business needs

Requirements

  • Recent STEM graduates with a bachelor’s degree
  • A bachelor’s degree is required; this program is limited to bachelor’s graduates
  • Experience working with electronic design automation tools
  • Some experience accompanied by a strong willingness to learn
  • Understanding or training in design fundamentals, verification, hardware description languages, synthesis, and timing
  • Knowledge of embedded software development, hardware/software co-design, and co-verification
  • Familiarity with UNIX, C or C++, and scripting languages such as Perl, TCL, or Python
  • Knowledge of digital physical design and implementation
  • Understanding of sign-off processes for timing, IR drop, power, and signal integrity analysis
  • Knowledge of custom and analog design, with the ability to work in San Jose, California; Austin, Texas; Cary, North Carolina; or Burlington, Massachusetts
