Corporate Credit Analyst at DLL – Sydney Hybrid

Assess customer, vendor, and broker credit risk for DLL’s asset-finance operations in Sydney. Prepare credit applications, perform financial analysis, and support credit committee decisions.

Description

  • Evaluate customer, vendor, and broker credit applications and support approval decisions
  • Perform financial analysis and modelling for new and existing clients across agriculture, construction, transport, industrial, healthcare, energy transition, office equipment, and technology finance
  • Coordinate with back-office teams, sales and account management, credit and risk, legal, asset management, and external parties
  • Gather customer, vendor, and broker information through relevant systems and procedures
  • Verify that submitted information is complete and current
  • Assess financial, asset, market, security, legal, and contractual risks
  • Review and re-rate customers, end users, local vendors, and local dealers
  • Prepare written credit application reports
  • Approve end-user credit applications and local vendor, dealer, and broker agreements within delegated authority
  • Recommend applications and present them to senior credit authorities and local or global Credit Committees
  • Advise on, prepare for, and participate in local Credit Committee decisions
  • Monitor and advise on credit and risk profiles, policies, regulations, and sales mandates
  • Help develop local credit and risk policies, regulations, and guidelines
  • Provide guidance, training, and operational support to front- and back-office stakeholders on credit and risk policies, processes, and issues
  • Report to the Credit Manager – Financial Intermediaries

Requirements

  • Degree in accounting, finance, commerce, or a related discipline
  • At least five years of relevant asset or equipment finance experience, with delegated lending authority of at least AUD 500,000
  • Advanced financial analysis capability
  • Knowledge of vendor-, dealer-, and broker-based asset finance partnerships
  • Understanding of commercial strategy and risk management principles
  • Knowledge of documentation, security, and legal procedures
  • Expert knowledge and practical application of PPSR
  • Ability to assess risks and returns across vendor, dealer, broker, and customer relationships
  • Ability to communicate risk and return clearly in professional written credit applications
  • Strong communication skills with internal and external customers
  • Excellent reading comprehension and written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong ability to organise and prioritise work
  • Ability to manage competing tasks and deadlines
  • Ability to stay focused while priorities change
  • Capacity to manage high workloads and respond promptly to requests
  • Consultative and collaborative approach to stakeholder relationships
  • Ability to negotiate and resolve problems
