Contracts Administrator Level 4 – Northrop Grumman, Redondo Beach

Manage DoD contract administration, negotiations, proposals, compliance, and risk activities for Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector. Partner with cross-functional program teams and customers in an onsite Redondo Beach role.

Description

  • Coordinate proposal development, contract negotiations, contract administration, and customer communications.
  • Track contracts and related programs to ensure obligations are clearly communicated and understood.
  • Oversee general compliance with contract terms.
  • Coordinate and prepare contract proposals for accurate, timely customer submission.
  • Support complex negotiations involving commercial and international agreements.
  • Manage contract administration and customer-related activities for assigned contracts.
  • Work with technical, program, finance, global supply chain, and security teams.
  • Verify that all contractual requirements are fulfilled.
  • Prepare and administer contract change requests while preserving historical records.
  • Assess terms and conditions for financial, acceptance, delivery, warranty, intellectual property, termination, and indemnification risks.
  • Propose strategies to reduce identified contract risks.
  • Maintain customer relationships across geographically separated teams.
  • Record and update contract information in the Contract Management System or Enterprise Accounting System.
  • Manage competing priorities and multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Travel up to 10% among the three locations.
  • Complete other assigned responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 8 years of professional experience, or a master’s degree plus 6 years, or a PhD plus 4 years.
  • An additional 4 or more years of experience may substitute for the degree requirement.
  • No security clearance is required at the start of employment.
  • Experience supporting large, competitive Department of Defense proposals.
  • Experience negotiating and administering diverse contract types and agreements of varying size with the Department of Defense.
  • Strong knowledge of applicable government regulations, including FAR and DFARS.
  • U.S. citizenship is required for positions involving a government clearance and certain other restricted roles.
