Compliance Advisor (Texas Remote)

Lead security compliance, audit readiness, access reviews, and vulnerability management for healthcare technology operations at Gainwell Technologies. Support secure Medicaid services through policy oversight, investigations, corrective actions, and security education.

Description

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on security procedures and audit compliance
  • Manage responses to SOC 1, SOC 2, and NIST 800-53 external audits
  • Support threat and vulnerability management activities
  • Conduct recurring identity and access reviews
  • Ensure application security procedures meet business needs and protect information
  • Oversee access-control implementation across systems, data, and programs
  • Manage the policy-compliant destruction of highly sensitive confidential information
  • Create and implement detailed security procedures
  • Supervise the security administrator team to maintain compliance with client security procedures
  • Maintain compliance with personnel, physical, and administrative security requirements
  • Coordinate sensitive elements of corporate security programs
  • Confirm adherence to internal policies and applicable government regulations
  • Provide leadership and guidance to less experienced personnel
  • Develop, coordinate, and deliver security education programs
  • Investigate or oversee investigations into losses and security violations, recommending corrective actions
  • Implement approved corrective actions and prepare summaries for senior management
  • Research emerging technologies to continually improve security solutions

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is preferred
  • Experience in a HIPAA environment; Medicaid experience is preferred
  • Experience with corporate security systems and implementation procedures
  • Experience applying corporate and government security regulations
  • Experience using company security software products
  • Experience with domain structures, user authentication, user profiles, and digital signatures
  • Strong presentation and business software skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities for designing, creating, and testing security systems
  • Leadership ability to guide and mentor less experienced personnel
  • Strong research capabilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and shift priorities quickly
  • Video cameras are required for all interviews and the initial orientation week
  • Must be based remotely within the United States
