Commercial Credit Analyst Associate – Tampa, FL (Onsite)

Description

  • Support the Diversified Industries team across the Southeast, with primary responsibility for Florida.
  • Assist Relationship Managers with prospective business and existing-client credit requests.
  • Prepare underwriting materials and perform financial analysis.
  • Contribute to credit discussions with Relationship Managers, management teams, and credit partners.
  • Review financial statements and assess covenant compliance.
  • Help monitor credit for new and existing clients.
  • Evaluate borrower creditworthiness and produce detailed credit summaries.
  • Apply financial models and analytical tools to assess repayment capacity and recommend loan structures and collateral.
  • Provide recommendations to managers supporting credit approval decisions.
  • Track portfolio compliance and flag signs of credit deterioration.
  • Review performance metrics and industry trends to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Assist with negotiating loan terms and conditions and structuring facilities.
  • Create proposals to win new business and deepen client relationships.
  • Build and maintain client relationships alongside Relationship Managers and business partners.
  • Structure and support new, renewed, and extended loans.
  • Track portfolio performance and implement corrective action when necessary.
  • Follow credit policies, regulatory requirements, and operating procedures.
  • Act as a contact for service requests and escalate issues as appropriate.
  • Contribute to efforts that improve service, attract new business, and strengthen client relationships.
  • Use sound judgment to identify, diagnose, and resolve problems.
  • Work independently on complex assignments, including unusual or nonstandard situations.

Requirements

  • Three to four years of relevant experience with credit, lending instruments, or financial operations in a corporate or banking environment is preferred.
  • Meet the credit qualifications and demonstrate the credit knowledge and skills required for the relevant portfolio, where applicable.
  • A bachelor’s degree is required; Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting is preferred.
  • Demonstrate technical proficiency developed through education and/or professional experience.
  • A related discipline or equivalent combination of work experience may also be considered.
