Clinical Project Manager – Melbourne, Australia (Onsite)

Lead regional clinical studies for IQVIA’s life sciences and healthcare clients in Melbourne. Coordinate cross-functional teams, customers, vendors, quality activities, risks, and study milestones.

Description

  • Support bid defense presentations with Business Development and lead presentations for smaller, less complex regional studies when needed
  • Manage delivery of smaller, less complex regional clinical studies
  • Create integrated study management plans with the core project team
  • Execute contracted clinical studies or assigned study components while balancing delivery speed, quality, and cost
  • Maintain consistent use of study tools and training materials while ensuring compliance with established processes and policies
  • Work with functional groups to achieve milestones and address study issues and obstacles
  • Track progress against contracts and present project or sub-team updates to internal and external stakeholders
  • Proactively manage risks, contingencies, problem-solving activities, and resolutions
  • Identify quality risks and issues and implement corrective and preventive action plans
  • Act as the primary or backup customer contact and oversee key customer relationships
  • Form cross-functional project teams and direct their work toward successful project delivery
  • Forecast delivery opportunities that could accelerate activities and bring revenue forward
  • Identify scope changes and oversee the change control process
  • Lead vendor management activities for assigned projects
  • Support corporate initiatives and act as a change advocate when required

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or a related field
  • At least five years of relevant experience, including a minimum of one year in project management, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Advanced knowledge of the role and broad knowledge of related functional areas, typically gained through advanced education and experience
  • Working knowledge of clinical trials
  • Understanding of clinical trial conduct
  • Ability to apply clinical research regulations, including ICH GCP and relevant local laws, regulations, and guidelines, to clinical trial conduct
