Description

  • Partner closely with the VP of Finance & Operations as an extension of their leadership capacity
  • Lead important cross-functional business meetings, including agenda development, materials, presentations, and follow-up
  • Shape the company-facing business narrative through recurring updates, companywide meetings, and leadership presentations
  • Move decisions to completion by monitoring owners and deadlines and escalating delays
  • Manage strategic and ad-hoc projects from defining the questions through developing actionable recommendations
  • Serve as program manager for major cross-functional initiatives, overseeing scope, sequencing, and delivery across teams
  • Represent the VP when their direct participation is unnecessary and collaborate across all business functions
  • Provide additional ownership across finance and operations through hands-on contribution, coverage, and capability building
  • Create presentations, manage project plans, and conduct analysis directly
  • Lead essential business meetings and preserve execution momentum during the VP’s absence

Requirements

  • Four to seven years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, business operations, consulting, or a comparable chief of staff position
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience managing recurring leadership meetings from agenda setting and material preparation through decision follow-up
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including independently creating and presenting executive materials
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical abilities, with the capacity to turn open-ended questions into recommendations
  • Experience leading cross-functional programs and delivering results through teams you do not manage directly
  • Confidence working with senior leaders and guiding discussions toward clear decisions
  • Working knowledge of SaaS business operations and the factors that drive financial performance
  • Curiosity about functions beyond your immediate remit and interest in growing into a broader role
  • Experience in B2B SaaS
  • Experience in construction technology
  • Previous chief of staff experience
  • Experience working within a company owned by a larger parent organization
