Description

  • Manage entry-level insurance claims through the full claim lifecycle under close supervision.
  • Investigate, evaluate, and settle entry-level insurance claims.
  • Study insurance policies, endorsements, and forms to build knowledge of the Company’s insurance products.
  • Learn and follow established Company claim-handling procedures.
  • Build skills in claim negotiation and settlement.
  • Provide service to agents, insureds, and other involved parties.
  • Meet and communicate with claimants, legal counsel, and third parties.
  • Develop estimating expertise and use designated computer-based loss-adjustment programs.
  • Complete the Company’s claims training program for the assigned insurance line.
  • Study for, obtain, and maintain adjuster licenses when required by statute and within Company or legal deadlines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent direct experience handling property and casualty claims.
  • Strong organizational skills, multitasking ability, and independent decision-making capability.
  • Above-average written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prepare reports and write professional correspondence.
  • Ability to resolve complex issues effectively.
  • Ability to protect confidential information and maintain data security.
  • Ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to accurately perform mathematical tasks, including geometry and financial calculations.
  • Ability to drive an automobile.
  • Valid driver’s license and driving history that meet the Company’s underwriting guidelines.
  • Willingness to continually expand product knowledge through approved educational programs.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
