Description

  • Research, develop, and deploy advanced artificial intelligence systems
  • Apply large language models, agentic AI, multimodal learning, and enterprise-scale AI applications
  • Design experiments that turn frontier research into practical, scalable AI solutions
  • Improve training algorithms while curating and optimizing data at scale
  • Create dependable infrastructure for purpose-built models supporting Cisco priorities and Foundation AI research
  • Build scalable data curation and processing approaches that enhance training and task-specific performance
  • Develop production-ready AI systems using rigorous software engineering practices
  • Optimize language models and agentic systems for enterprise and security applications
  • Prepare scientific papers for leading machine learning and AI conferences
  • Write technical blog content and contribute to the open-source AI community

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 7 years of related experience, master’s degree with 4 years, or PhD with 1 year in computer science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or a related discipline
  • Strong proficiency in Python, PyTorch, production software engineering, and widely used AI/ML libraries
  • Experience training, fine-tuning, evaluating, serving, and optimizing large language models
  • Solid knowledge of data pipelines, model experimentation, and scalable AI architecture
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to explain complex research and engineering ideas to cross-functional collaborators
  • Preferred: experience building scalable data curation methods and dependable infrastructure for large-scale model training, evaluation, inference, and deployment
  • Preferred: experience with vLLM, NVIDIA Triton, TorchServe, cloud-native deployment, Docker, Kubernetes, MLOps, AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure
  • Preferred: publications at leading AI/ML conferences such as NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, or ACL, or substantial open-source AI contributions
  • Preferred: knowledge of agentic AI workflows, multi-agent frameworks, and autonomous AI systems
  • Preferred: understanding of cybersecurity, security-oriented AI, safety, and robust machine learning
