Description
- Deliver production code early, creating features for customers and financial transactions
- Take ownership of features from design and implementation through testing, deployment, monitoring, and issue resolution
- Apply AI to coding, debugging, testing, research, and automation while helping the team adopt effective practices
- Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and experienced engineers
- Develop expertise in B2B fintech across Latin American markets and regulatory environments
- On the Product Engineering track, create backend services, APIs, and user interfaces
- On the Data & ML Engineering track, develop pipelines, models, and production systems for risk scoring, fraud detection signals, and spend intelligence
Requirements
- Designed for engineers who have not yet held a full-time software engineering role
- Training in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field, or equivalent coding ability
- Evidence of software-building ability through work such as a GitHub portfolio, deployed application, active repository, hackathon win, open-source contribution, or bot that solves a real problem
- Hands-on experience with AI systems or tools, including agents, retrieval-augmented generation, evaluations, fine-tuning, or automation, plus regular use of AI coding tools
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and systems thinking
- English proficiency for everyday technical reading, writing, and conversation
- Strong ownership, with the ability to identify problems, complete work, and operate independently
- Basic Portuguese skills or an interest in learning Portuguese is a plus
