Accounting Manager - Atlanta, Onsite

Lead Salesforce’s global accounting operations, including month-end close, SOX compliance, financial reporting, and accounting process improvement. Manage and develop teams while delivering accurate insights for an AI CRM company.

Description

  • Manage the month-end close by analyzing variances, investigating financial drivers, overseeing journal entries, and reviewing account reconciliations.
  • Partner with Infrastructure, Information Technology, and Finance teams.
  • Maintain compliance with US GAAP, SOX controls, and documentation standards.
  • Lead and prepare schedules for 10-Q and 10-K financial reporting.
  • Apply ASC 350-40 and ASC 350-50 to internal capitalized software and website development costs.
  • Support internal and external audits with audit schedules, evidence, and process overviews.
  • Implement ongoing improvements to accounting processes, data reconciliation, reporting, and analysis.
  • Lead a diverse team across levels and locations to deliver accurate, timely work.
  • Develop team members through mentoring, education, and review of accounting work.
  • Complete special projects from initiation through delivery.
  • Present findings and business insights to senior management.

Requirements

  • At least six years of combined accounting and public accounting experience.
  • A degree or equivalent relevant experience is required.
  • Previous management experience in an accounting role.
  • Experience with Workday Finance, Oracle, or another large ERP system is required.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel proficiency, including complex formulas and VLOOKUP.
  • Ability to work with high volumes of transactional data.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and experience in technical accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, influence stakeholders, and partner with cross-functional and remote teams.
  • Big Four audit firm experience is preferred.
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork abilities are preferred.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize responsibilities to meet deadlines is preferred.
  • Ability to assess data, reach valid conclusions, and present information to management is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work across functions and organizational levels is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience applying ASC 350-40 and ASC 350-50 is preferred.
  • Tableau experience is preferred.
