3rd Line Application Packager Analyst – Computacenter, Nottingham

Develop enterprise application packages for Computacenter customers using MSI, MSIX, and App-V. Automate and manage deployments with PowerShell, MECM, and Intune.

Description

  • Create application packages in MSI, MSIX, and App-V formats according to customer standards
  • Validate compatibility across environments and meet established quality benchmarks
  • Work collaboratively within Agile and Scrum teams
  • Identify and implement continuous and process improvements
  • Automate and simplify workflows with PowerShell and other scripting tools
  • Support application deployment through MECM and Intune
  • Oversee and maintain awareness of the complete application lifecycle
  • Produce process and solution documentation aligned with industry and customer standards
  • Support the delivery of enterprise software solutions for secure, high-profile customers

Requirements

  • Practical experience packaging applications and writing scripts with PowerShell, VBScript, or similar tools
  • Advanced knowledge of MSI, App-V, and MSIX technologies
  • Extensive experience using MECM and Intune for deployment
  • Strong understanding of application lifecycle management
  • Previous experience working on Agile or Scrum projects
  • Capability to work independently and influence relevant stakeholders
  • Full UK driving licence and readiness to travel when required
  • Eligibility to obtain SC clearance
  • Experience with Omnissa Workspace ONE, Microsoft Power Platform, and Azure Automation is desirable
  • Familiarity with Python, Ansible, and shell scripting tools is desirable
  • Knowledge of AWS, Azure, and automation tools is desirable
  • Awareness of ITIL, ISO 20000, and ISO 27000 standards is desirable
