Senior Anti-Bot Scraping Engineer (Europe Remote)
Build resilient, large-scale scraping systems for Adthena’s paid search intelligence platform. Work across Google defenses, browser automation, extraction reliability, and production observability.

- Create and operate large-scale Python scraping systems for Google and other heavily protected websites
- Develop scrapers for dynamic, JavaScript-driven pages with browser automation and hybrid techniques
- Respond to changes in page structures, request workflows, and anti-automation controls
- Build extraction pipelines that deliver accurate, consistent, observable data
- Apply proxy, fingerprinting, and request-routing strategies to improve stability and throughput
- Track scraping health, identify failures quickly, and troubleshoot production incidents
- Improve the performance, cost efficiency, and latency of scraping infrastructure
- Partner with data engineering, data science, and product teams to keep scraped data reliable and useful
- Maintain documentation for scraping logic and operational procedures
- Report to the Head of Engineering
- Complete a two-stage interview process
आवश्यकताएँ
- Professional production experience with Python or another primary language such as Go, Rust, or JavaScript, including large-scale scraping systems
- Extensive hands-on experience scraping Google or similarly protected platforms
- Strong knowledge of HTTP, TLS, cookies, headers, redirects, and browser networking behavior
- Experience using Playwright, Selenium, Puppeteer, or a comparable browser automation framework
- Strong command of HTML parsing, DOM traversal, and data extraction methods
- Experience managing rate limits, CAPTCHAs, IP rotation, and bot detection systems
- Confidence working with asynchronous and concurrent scraping architectures
- Experience operating scrapers at scale in cloud environments
- Strong debugging ability and a structured approach to complex failure modes
- Experience with headless browser fingerprinting and anti-bot evasion techniques
- Applicants must be based in Spain, Italy, Portugal, Romania, Hungary, Czech Republic, Poland, Serbia, Lithuania, Bulgaria, Estonia, Latvia, Cyprus, or Greece
- Availability to work in the UK timezone
- Permission to work without visa restrictions in the current location
