Tavsif

  • Own and incrementally evolve the AppLogic web UI architecture while it remains in daily use
  • Define frontend standards for structure, naming, testing, and code review
  • Improve engineering quality through code reviews and paired development
  • Maintain a fast, responsive interface as the product expands
  • Own product analytics instrumentation to provide consistent, useful data for product management
  • Partner with UX designers to translate designs into production-ready interfaces
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams across the organization
  • Incorporate frontend security into everyday engineering decisions
  • Develop core Graykey platform software used by law enforcement and government agencies to extract mobile-device data
  • Strengthen the mature server-rendered UI through improved structure, performance, and data handling

Talablar

  • Must reside in Canada
  • Strong JavaScript, HTML, and CSS skills, with the ability to build without a framework
  • Understanding of the DOM, event loop, rendering, and network behavior
  • Experience incrementally improving a mature production frontend
  • Frontend architecture experience spanning state management, component design, and module boundaries
  • Experience profiling and optimizing load time and runtime performance
  • Experience testing frontends at unit, integration, and end-to-end levels
  • Experience implementing real-time UI patterns such as WebSockets or server-sent events
  • Understanding of web security fundamentals, including XSS prevention and safe untrusted-input handling
  • Ability to read, modify, and test production Python, including Jinja or similar templates and dependent endpoints
  • Experience designing product analytics event schemas
  • Experience building software for custom hardware, on-premises deployments, restricted networks, unreliable or unavailable connections, and limited external resources
  • At least six years of professional engineering experience, primarily with production web frontends
  • Demonstrated ability to set frontend direction for a team and drive adoption of conventions
  • Experience working directly with product managers on scope, priorities, and trade-offs
  • Strong Git and code review skills
  • Clear written communication
  • Experience building or maintaining a component library or design system is a plus
  • Experience in digital forensics, law enforcement, or security tooling is a plus
  • Successful completion of a background check
