Financial Analyst, Regulatory Reporting — American Express (Gurugram Hybrid)

Support American Express’s regulatory reporting function from Gurugram by preparing Federal Reserve filings, maintaining compliance, and improving reporting processes through automation. The role works with reporting leaders, subject matter experts, and regulatory stakeholders.

Oracle

Tavsif

  • Prepare regulatory filings and the supporting schedules and documentation.
  • Verify reports against Federal Reserve and other regulatory requirements, internal review controls, and applicable policies.
  • Contribute to initiatives that automate and simplify regulatory report preparation.
  • Help managers and directors address inquiries from the Federal Reserve, General Counsel’s Office, and other regulators.
  • Help implement analytical and reporting processes, procedures, and systems within the company’s control framework.
  • Coordinate activities with subject matter experts and global reporting leaders.
  • Contribute to the External Reporting function within the Financial Reporting Cluster.
  • Demonstrate thought leadership and contribute to work-life balance initiatives.
  • Work from 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM.

Talablar

  • At least three years of experience in accounting or reporting.
  • Working knowledge and practical experience with US GAAP.
  • Experience in regulatory or external reporting is preferred.
  • Exposure to liquidity reporting, NSFR, or LCR is advantageous.
  • Chartered Accountant or CPA qualification is preferred.
  • Experience with US regulatory or SEC reporting, or public accounting, is advantageous.
  • Strong problem-solving, planning, analytical, project management, collaboration, and coordination abilities.
  • Results-oriented, self-directed, motivated, and attentive to detail.
  • Clear communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage independently with senior business partners and customers.
  • Experience in reporting and analysis.
  • Familiarity with US GAAP and financial accounting principles.
  • Understanding of the financial services domain and AXP systems.
  • Ability to assess and strengthen the control environment surrounding filings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Knowledge of Oracle, Essbase, and RRD architecture.
