Tavsif
- Oversee financial risk management and regulatory compliance for Hiscox USA
- Support the development and execution of financial strategy
- Direct accounting, financial reporting, treasury, and related finance functions
- Build, develop, and staff a finance team of approximately ten professionals
- Improve efficiency and effectiveness across finance processes
- Maintain compliance with comprehensive financial controls
- Deliver accurate financial results on schedule
- Lead business-as-usual accounting and uphold associated controls
- Oversee Hiscox USA accounting under IFRS and US insurance carrier accounting under STAT
- Ensure accurate and timely internal and external financial statement preparation
- Direct financial, regulatory, and compliance reporting
- Manage treasury and cash activities, including forecasting, liquidity, funding, banking operations, excess cash yield, and foreign exchange exposure
- Implement accounting policies and procedures while overseeing transactional services, financial integration, and process improvement
- Advise the Chief Financial Officer and senior leaders on profitability and regulatory compliance decisions
- Lead initiatives spanning capital, reinsurance, investments, risk, reserves, and tax
- Support Board and Audit Committee meetings with financial and capital updates
- Maintain relationships with auditors, actuaries, regulators, tax authorities, banks, financial institutions, and service providers
- Expand the finance function while advancing continuous improvement and transformation
- Lead strategic initiatives involving M&A, financial integration, transformation, and cross-functional programs
Talablar
- Experience in general insurance or another highly regulated sector, such as banking or energy, is strongly preferred
- Demonstrated experience designing and developing operational processes
- Analytical, metrics-driven working style
- Experience overseeing accurate financial reporting and regulatory compliance
