Opis

  • Define the technical direction and architecture for Snowflake’s continuous integration platform.
  • Design systems that support thousands of developers, millions of builds, and an expanding multi-repository codebase.
  • Lead the design and delivery of elastic, high-performance, fault-tolerant distributed CI services across cloud providers.
  • Work with product managers and engineering leaders to shape quarterly and long-range roadmaps.
  • Review code and designs, and provide architectural guidance.
  • Address build speed, resource use, tenant isolation, reliability, and security challenges.
  • Coach and support engineers across the team and wider organization.
  • Assess and adopt CI/CD technologies, tooling approaches, and industry practices.
  • Coordinate with neighboring Engineering Systems teams and leaders on developer productivity efforts.
  • Build, troubleshoot, and deliver high-quality systems at a rapid pace.
  • Protect confidential information and follow Snowflake’s data security standards.

Zahteve

  • At least eight years of industry experience designing and building distributed systems at scale.
  • Demonstrated technical leadership, including system architecture ownership, design decisions, and raising engineering standards.
  • Extensive experience with enterprise continuous integration for cloud-based distributed systems.
  • Strong commitment to improving developer productivity.
  • Solid computer science foundations in data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, and system design.
  • Proficiency in Java, C++, Python, or Go.
  • Strategic judgment and the ability to turn strategy into actionable technical plans.
  • Ability to mentor and influence engineers through code reviews, design guidance, and technical coaching.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Experience building data systems or working on distributed systems internals.
  • Hands-on experience operating Jenkins, Bazel, ArgoCD, GitHub Actions, or another CI/CD suite at scale.
  • Experience designing multi-tenant systems with attention to reliability, performance, isolation, and security.
  • Experience writing roadmaps, technical design documents, project plans, and root cause analyses.
  • Experience optimizing build systems through caching, parallelization, incremental builds, and resource scheduling.
  • Experience in developer tooling or platform engineering organizations.
  • Ability to commute to a local Snowflake office or relocate nearby.
  • Current authorization to work in the country of application.
