Opis

  • Lead the architecture and development of Grindr’s health web experiences, including the APIs behind them.
  • Be among the first full-time engineers in the healthcare vertical.
  • Maintain platforms such as woodwork.com and create user-facing products for new health-focused investments.
  • Architect, deliver, and scale health products across frontend and backend systems.
  • Partner with product managers, designers, and engineers to turn designs into polished, accessible, high-performing features.
  • Develop and maintain frontend applications with TypeScript, Next.js, and React.
  • Contribute to Kotlin backend services and integrations built with Redis, Postgres, Kafka, and AWS.
  • Use data to guide the adoption of technologies, architectures, and workflows.
  • Take responsibility for frontend performance, reliability, and quality.
  • Help optimize systems and manage incidents.
  • Mentor colleagues through pairing, code reviews, and architecture reviews.

Zahteve

  • Bring at least seven years of software engineering experience, focused on user-facing web applications.
  • Have deep experience with TypeScript, Next.js, React, and modern frontend tools.
  • Have built scalable frontend architectures covering state management, component design, and performance optimization.
  • Have hands-on experience with backend systems, including service APIs, data processing, and messaging in a microservices environment.
  • Have experience building on cloud platforms; AWS experience is preferred.
  • Be committed to testing software and systems.
  • Have shipped Node.js and JVM applications to production, using technologies such as Java, Kotlin, or Scala.
  • Have operated consumer web products at scale, where performance and reliability are essential.
  • Be experienced working with distributed teams across time zones and borders.
  • Be able to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-moving, startup-like environment.
  • Be able to work in person at the Palo Alto office on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
  • Be prepared to provide authorization to work in the United States for any employer in the application.
