Opis

  • Oversee California and Oregon workers’ compensation claims through each stage, from initial review to closure.
  • Review claim details to assess coverage, compensability, and eligibility for benefits.
  • Plan and carry out claim strategies aimed at prompt, favorable outcomes.
  • Set and manage suitable reserves for each claim.
  • Negotiate settlements and resolve claims.
  • Keep claimants, insured parties, employers, and other stakeholders informed.
  • Prepare and deliver large-loss reports to internal and external audiences.
  • Work with defense counsel on litigation plans and claim resolution.
  • Coordinate with medical case managers, surveillance providers, and other external partners.
  • Follow Illinois workers’ compensation laws and regulations.
  • Keep claim records complete and up to date.
  • Review claim patterns and exposure to inform sound decisions.
  • Deliver strong customer service and maintain effective relationships with customers and business partners.

Zahteve

  • At least 10 years of workers’ compensation claims adjusting experience, including complex or high-exposure cases.
  • California claims experience is required.
  • Strong understanding of California workers’ compensation laws, regulations, and claims practices.
  • Familiarity with Oregon workers’ compensation laws and claims practices is an advantage.
  • Professional industry credentials, such as Associate in Claims (AIC), are preferred.
  • Available to work Pacific Time Zone business hours.
  • Able to travel occasionally when needed.
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills.
  • Able to work effectively with a range of internal and external contacts.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without requiring current or future sponsorship.
