Analyze insurance data at Unum to support business decisions. Create dashboards, reports, and datasets that turn data into useful insights.

Opis

  • Assess data sources through profiling and analysis to identify the best sources for business information.
  • Transform data into practical dashboards, reports, algorithms, or datasets, seeking guidance from mentors and managers for complex analysis.
  • Analyze statistics and present findings with manager support to inform and advise leadership.
  • Work with data engineers to validate data and test solutions.
  • Build familiarity with the insurance industry.
  • Learn how data is stored in company databases.
  • Work with internal customers to clarify requirements and confirm that deliverables meet expectations.
  • Partner with business analysts, BI analysts, data scientists, data engineers, and business units to gather and validate requirements.

Zahteve

  • A bachelor's degree is preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Basic familiarity with analytics programming languages such as SQL, R, or Python.
  • Some experience with modern business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Alteryx, Power BI, or similar.
  • Conceptual understanding of data profiling, statistical analysis, and data modeling.
  • Some experience extracting and using data from data warehouses, transactional databases, object stores, and API-based environments.
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Willingness and drive to learn new technologies and analytical techniques.
