Senior SBA Credit Analyst – New York Remote

Evaluate SBA loan creditworthiness, eligibility, and risk for ConnectOne Bank. Prepare underwriting analyses, approval recommendations, and annual reviews for commercial lending.

Descriere

  • Assess the creditworthiness and SBA eligibility of new and existing loans
  • Flag policy exceptions and other credit concerns affecting the quality of the Bank’s commercial loan portfolio
  • Contribute to loan-request credit analyses through financial statement and collateral review, risk-rating recommendations, trend analysis, and assessment of credit strengths and weaknesses
  • Draft recommendations for loan approval or alternative loan structures
  • Build financial statement spreadsheets to track financial-ratio trends
  • Support Loan Officers with annual loan reviews
  • Participate in Loan Committee meetings
  • Help prepare and assess credit proposals
  • Deliver responsive service aligned with the Bank’s “People First” focus

Cerințe

  • Knowledge of financial analysis, cash-flow lending, accounting principles, and credit concepts
  • Ability to interpret and apply the SBA Standard Operating Procedure
  • Proficiency with Windows Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Knowledge of applicable federal and state banking regulations
  • Understanding of basic loan documentation and general banking principles
  • Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong PC skills, including working proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively
  • Effective time management, organization, and written and oral communication skills
  • Three to five years of commercial lending experience
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Formal bank credit training is a bonus
