Senior Finance Operating Executive

Descriere

  • Partner with portfolio company CEOs on financial operations
  • Assess accounting processes, identify issues, and improve workflows
  • Prepare and review journal entries and ledger accounts under US GAAP
  • Prepare financial statements and support external auditors and other professionals
  • Standardize monthly reporting packages and integrate general ledger and reporting systems
  • Align historical financials with quality of earnings analyses
  • Convert businesses from cash-basis accounting to accrual or GAAP accounting
  • Prepare acquisition opening balance sheets and post-close working capital adjustments
  • Establish annual planning and budgeting processes
  • Maintain 13-week cash flow forecasts and reconcile Adjusted EBITDA with free cash flow
  • Transition banking and cash management to regional and national platforms
  • Model and review loan covenants and prepare quarterly lender reports
  • Create month-end close checklists and shorten close cycles to 10 days
  • Assess accounting systems and recommend improvements or replacements
  • Build digital and offline tools to make accounting processes more efficient
  • Work with client project teams on operational systems implementation and accounting integration
  • Conduct or support inventory assessments and valuation
  • Create and maintain internal control programs
  • Prepare monthly billing support schedules for portfolio clients
  • Keep leadership informed with regular portfolio company status reports and communications

Cerințe

  • Bring at least 15 years of progressive experience across accounting and finance, including private equity
  • Have hands-on experience converting a business from cash-basis to accrual or GAAP accounting
  • Have hands-on experience implementing or integrating general ledger systems and processes
  • Have experience building and maintaining three-statement financial consolidation models
  • Demonstrate strong proficiency with Microsoft tools
  • Use Excel confidently, including advanced database and financial functions and formula development
  • Have worked with multiple general ledger systems, including QuickBooks and cloud ERP/GL platforms such as Sage Intacct, NetSuite, and Dynamics
  • Have experience working with external auditors
  • Communicate clearly in writing and verbally, including through email and PowerPoint presentations
  • Be willing to travel to portfolio companies as needed
  • Understand timelines and deliverables clearly
  • Communicate patiently and effectively with people across a range of personalities and skill levels
  • Be a confident, self-directed professional with a friendly, humble manner
  • Be legally authorized to work in the United States now and in the future without sponsorship
  • CPA/MAcc and MBA credentials are a plus
