Senior Civil Project Engineer – Site Design

Senior civil project engineer responsible for site design across mixed-use, commercial, residential, and industrial developments at Olsson. The role covers site planning, team coordination, client collaboration, and project management support in a hybrid environment.

Descriere

  • Create planning and design documentation for assigned civil engineering work
  • Complete design calculations, develop cost estimates, and evaluate alternatives through economic analysis
  • Help define project scopes and schedules, or develop them independently when appropriate
  • Support project initiation documents, budget assessments, and progress reporting
  • Coordinate project work and design elements with other Olsson teams
  • Assign and guide team members on design activities
  • Keep project documentation current, including correspondence, drawings, and files
  • Update project managers on milestones, issues, and risks
  • Work with clients and participate in client meetings
  • Support marketing and business development efforts, including proposal writing
  • Manage small projects when assigned
  • Carry out complex project assignments independently
  • Coordinate professional and technical staff and supervise student or technical personnel when required

Cerințe

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • At least six years of relevant civil engineering experience
  • Current Professional Engineer registration
  • Proficiency in site layout, grading, utility design, erosion control, and regulatory approvals
  • Working knowledge of Civil 3D
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate productively as part of a team
  • Willingness to travel for office activities, client meetings, and site visits as needed
