Senior Accountant - United States Remote

Lead US GAAP accounting across LOVB Minnesota’s club operations, including reconciliations, reporting, and month-end close. Strengthen controls, audit readiness, automation, and cross-functional finance processes.

Descriere

  • Manage multiple club general ledgers in compliance with US GAAP
  • Oversee the organization’s day-to-day accounting operations
  • Define, develop, and recommend accounting goals, policies, and procedures
  • Assess risks and help maintain audit readiness
  • Complete month-end general ledger close activities and prepare related reports and reconciliations
  • Manage operational accounting for the general ledger, accounts payable, fixed assets, payroll accruals, intercompany transactions, and consolidation
  • Improve efficiency through automated processes, systems, and integrations
  • Research and evaluate complex technical accounting matters and newly issued standards
  • Assist with annual external audits
  • Identify opportunities to scale operations and automate manual processes
  • Support management with special projects and ad hoc analysis
  • Enhance best-practice processes, procedures, and internal controls
  • Address questions from internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide mentorship to accounting team members
  • Partner with senior leadership and cross-functional teams on accounting matters

Cerințe

  • At least five years of experience in a staff accounting role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP
  • Experience with internal controls
  • Experience performing intercompany reconciliations
  • Experience preparing GL account reconciliations and supporting work papers
  • Experience applying best-practice processes and procedures
  • Ability to process and review journal entries
  • Experience preparing ad hoc financial reports
  • Ability to balance strategic priorities with tactical execution
  • Ability to perform effectively in a busy, dynamic environment
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and respond effectively to changing circumstances
  • Sound judgment about when to escalate potential issues and challenges
  • Strong communication, collaboration, listening, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work with FP&A, AP, Payroll, and Club Operations teams
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate with a distributed remote team
  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with minimal guidance
  • Flexibility and willingness to learn new systems and skills
  • Preferred experience with inventory accounting, tax compliance, payroll accounting, and NetSuite
  • Start-up accounting experience preferred
  • Ability to operate a computer and use a keyboard, mouse, and video conferencing tools
