Remote Healthcare Biller in New Jersey

Med-Metrix is seeking a remote Biller in New Jersey to capture WCNF EDI charges and submit healthcare claims. The role reviews referrals, corrects billing records, and investigates payer payment delays.

Descriere

  • Review referrals and confirm that all charges for each date of service are recorded
  • Correct billing charges using supporting office documentation
  • Achieve and sustain daily productivity and quality targets
  • Follow client and team policies and procedures
  • Validate and update patient demographic information in the host system
  • Confirm that required authorizations are accurately recorded
  • Investigate and resolve issues that delay payer payments
  • Protect confidentiality and maintain a professional demeanor
  • Handle and disclose protected health information in compliance with HIPAA standards
  • Follow Information Security and HIPAA policies and procedures
  • Access only the minimum necessary protected health information to complete assigned work
  • Complete additional duties as assigned

Cerințe

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Prior hospital, facility, or physician billing experience is preferred
  • Experience with EPIC is preferred
  • Working knowledge of healthcare claim submission and processing
  • Familiarity with insurance plan types, CPT and ICD-10 coding, and billing guidelines
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • A smartphone or electronic device capable of downloading multifactor authentication and security applications is required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to follow instructions, collaborate effectively, and manage stress
  • Ability to use computers, peripherals, telephones, and other office equipment
