Python Software Engineer – Remote in Brazil

Descriere

  • Build, maintain, and enhance Python features and services for a custom AI intelligence platform.
  • Partner daily with a senior engineer on architecture and technical decisions.
  • Deliver small, thoroughly tested changes and keep progress visible to the team and client.
  • Join regular syncs and communicate status, risks, and blockers proactively.
  • Respond effectively as client priorities evolve.
  • Contribute to LLM and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) functionality when needed.
  • Develop a custom AI intelligence tool for a US-based client through Pyyne’s technology consultancy.

Cerințe

  • Bring 2–5 years of Python experience, including at least 2 years in professional development.
  • Demonstrate practical experience with asynchronous Python using asyncio and REST API development with FastAPI or a comparable framework.
  • Have strong SQL skills and experience with PostgreSQL, an ORM such as SQLAlchemy, and database schema migrations.
  • Write and maintain automated tests with pytest.
  • Use Git confidently in day-to-day development.
  • Work independently on clearly defined tasks while knowing when to seek assistance.
  • Communicate clearly and proactively with a strong focus on delivery.
  • Be highly fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Preferred experience includes LLMs and RAG, pgvector or another vector database, Docker, cloud deployment with AWS preferred, message queues or background workers such as SQS, and Terraform.
  • Work remotely from Brazil or from the Buenos Aires metropolitan area in Argentina.
