Lead enterprise software, cloud, data, and AI engineering at NatWest Group. Shape technical strategy, resilient systems, APIs, testing practices, and engineering team delivery.
Descriere
- Set application development and software lifecycle standards across the bank
- Deliver software components for platforms, applications, and services
- Represent the bank at internal and industry events, conferences, and related activities
- Translate functional and non-functional requirements into effective technical designs
- Plan, build, and deploy high-performance, robust, and resilient systems
- Work with senior stakeholders to determine appropriate technical solutions
- Direct the technical delivery of one or more software engineering teams
- Maintain work quality and adherence to technical standards across teams
- Set technical strategy and advise on product roadmaps and migration plans
- Uphold sound architectural and engineering principles across systems
- Track technical delivery against plans while protecting functionality, scalability, and performance
- Keep stakeholders informed of delivery progress
- Create reusable libraries and APIs
- Develop unit and integration tests in automated testing environments
Cerințe
- At least 18 years of full-stack engineering experience
- Professional experience building software with service-oriented or microservices architectures
- Advanced knowledge of full-stack development, microservices, event-driven architecture, AWS cloud services, DevSecOps, CI/CD, observability, and platform engineering
- A track record of leading technical strategy, architecture, innovation, automation, code quality, and performance optimisation
- Experience mentoring engineering teams and partnering with Product, Data Science, Architecture, and business stakeholders
- Strong experience leading software development teams and delivering technical strategies
- Familiarity with recognised industry frameworks and development tools
- Experience with test-driven development, automated testing frameworks, mocking, stubbing, and unit-testing tools
- Experience designing or implementing APIs
- Experience supporting, enhancing, and maintaining systems and code created by other teams
- Ability to interpret product and business needs and turn them into technical solutions
