Descriere

  • Support Red Hat Lightwell go-to-market initiatives through advanced technical sales expertise
  • Address organizational, technical, and competitive barriers to Red Hat Lightwell adoption
  • Explain Red Hat Lightwell’s value to developers, build and platform engineers, application development leaders, and security and compliance teams
  • Work directly in customer build environments through architecture reviews, value discussions, workshops, and implementation of dependency management, artifact signing, attestation, and pipeline enforcement practices
  • Serve as Red Hat’s technical lead for trusted software supply-chain engagements alongside Account Solution Architects and Account Executives
  • Guide technical discussions with developers, build engineers, engineering leaders, and security and compliance stakeholders
  • Differentiate Red Hat’s solutions from competing market offerings
  • Position Red Hat software supply-chain capabilities, including hardened container images, artifact signing, attestation, SBOM generation, pipeline policy enforcement, and runtime security
  • Configure customer builds to use Lightwell repositories, run builds, and troubleshoot issues with engineering teams
  • Lead technical deep dives, proofs of concept, competitive evaluations, internal sprints, hackathons, and partner solutions before and after the sale
  • Build relationships with customer stakeholders and champion solutions across their organizations
  • Recommend integrations with artifact management, mirroring, and pipeline environments, including disconnected and air-gapped deployments
  • Collaborate with Lightwell product and engineering teams to test, document, demonstrate, and improve features based on market feedback
  • Represent the community and advocate for customers through conference presentations, blog content, and outreach
  • Provide enablement and mentorship to Red Hat’s Technical Sales organization

Cerințe

  • At least six years of combined experience in software engineering, build and release engineering, platform engineering, DevSecOps, or technical sales, including ownership of software with real dependency and upgrade requirements
  • Proven ability to work directly in customer or production build environments
  • Working proficiency with at least two of Maven, pip, and npm, including dependency resolution, transitive dependencies, lockfiles, and version constraints
  • Practical knowledge of enterprise build configuration, registry and repository settings, and proxying or mirroring public package registries
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise artifact repositories and internal mirrors
  • Ability to configure, run, and troubleshoot builds with customer engineers
  • Understanding of reproducible builds, disconnected and air-gapped delivery, and multi-language codebases
  • Knowledge of SLSA build integrity levels and the practical requirements for Level 3
  • Knowledge of SBOM formats and lifecycle management, including SPDX and CycloneDX
  • Knowledge of artifact signing and verification, including HSM-backed signing, attestation, and enforcement during build and admission
  • Knowledge of VEX and CSAF
  • Understanding of provenance, typosquatting, and dependency confusion threats
  • Understanding of contribution practices in upstream open-source projects
  • Experience delivering technical presentations and leading business-value discussions
  • Credibility with engineering audiences and the ability to engage leadership and executives, including through public speaking
  • Ability to accurately represent product capabilities and roadmap
  • Willingness to travel as needed
  • Preferred: prior experience in sales engineering, technical sales, or a comparable role
  • Preferred: professional software development experience in Java or Python ecosystems
  • Preferred: experience owning enterprise-scale CI/CD systems, artifact repositories, or internal developer platforms
  • Preferred: DevSecOps experience incorporating security tools and policies into delivery pipelines
  • Preferred: application security or product security experience
  • Preferred: sustained contribution to an upstream open-source project
  • Preferred: foundational knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux, OpenShift, and Ansible Automation Platform
  • Preferred: familiarity with compliance frameworks and automated control implementation
