General Accounting Manager - Milan, Tennessee

Descriere

  • Direct accounting operations and provide leadership with timely, accurate financial information
  • Lead and assess accounting and finance activities, aligning priorities and performance indicators with business objectives
  • Oversee general ledger accounting, accounts payable, payroll, disbursements, revenue recognition, invoicing, intercompany transactions, and account reconciliations
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements covering profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow
  • Evaluate profitability, working capital, income, expenses, earnings, and overall financial performance
  • Lead annual planning, budgeting, forecasting, and tax planning and compliance activities
  • Deliver financial analysis, technical guidance, and responses to business questions for leadership
  • Work with department leaders to improve financial understanding across the business
  • Investigate root causes, enhance accounting processes, and implement effective financial controls
  • Coach and develop Finance team members
  • Maintain compliance with U.S. GAAP, IFRS, applicable laws, company policies, and internal controls
  • Promote a safe, harmonious workplace and uphold company standards
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct
  • Complete additional duties as assigned

Cerințe

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field is required.
  • At least seven years of accounting experience, including two or more years as an Accounting Manager or comparable finance leader
  • Required experience in manufacturing, preferably with a multi-location industrial products organization
  • Strong command of U.S. GAAP and IFRS accounting principles
  • Experience managing general ledger accounting, payroll, accounts payable, disbursements, revenue recognition, invoicing, intercompany transactions, and account reconciliations
  • Experience producing profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow reports
  • Substantial experience with planning, budgeting, forecasting, and tax compliance
  • Prior supervisory experience and a practical, hands-on management approach
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel capability, including PivotTables, SUMIFS, VLOOKUPs, complex formulas, macros, filters, and template development
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Extensive experience with ERP systems
  • Strong analytical ability, with comfort moving between strategic analysis and transactional detail
  • A continuous-improvement approach and the ability to diagnose root causes and implement effective solutions
  • Strong leadership, communication, organization, and relationship-building abilities
  • High integrity, sound judgment, and the ability to meet demanding deadlines while maintaining excellent work standards
