Descriere
- Provide expert guidance on database architecture, infrastructure, security, and data management strategy
- Define and enforce DBA operating practices, change controls, and continuous process improvements
- Lead resolution of critical database incidents, architectural risks, and security vulnerabilities through escalation management and root-cause analysis
- Mentor junior and mid-level database administrators
- Maintain compliance with enterprise risk, SOX, PCI, and change-management standards
- Architect and optimize large-scale, mission-critical OLTP database environments
- Build and operate high-availability and disaster-recovery solutions with Always On Availability Groups, replication, and continuous recovery strategies
- Own database patching, upgrades, backups, restores, and decommissioning activities
- Lead technology initiatives and developer teams delivering distributed microservices and full-stack systems
- Evaluate emerging technologies and contribute to internal and external technical communities
- Work with digital product managers to deliver reliable cloud-based solutions
- Apply programming languages, open-source relational and NoSQL databases, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS services
- Provide technical direction across Agile teams and establish standards for design, development, and operational excellence
- Collaborate with architects on service boundaries, integration patterns, and reusable frameworks
- Refactor systems, reduce technical debt, and improve performance by identifying engineering opportunities
- Shape long-term technology strategy within a you-build-it, you-own-it operating model
Cerințe
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field, including Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, or Engineering
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience; internships do not count
- At least 2 years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, cloud productivity tools, or virtualization technologies
- Experience administering SQL Server, tuning high-volume workloads, and designing database architectures
- Experience configuring and maintaining SQL Server Always On Availability Groups and transactional replication
- Experience with database security, audit readiness, and SOX or PCI compliance frameworks
- Experience with enterprise monitoring, alerting, and automated database management platforms
- At least 7 years of coding experience in more than two of Go, Java, JavaScript or TypeScript, Python, Rust, C#, or Scala
- At least 3 years of experience with databases and database management systems
- At least 3 years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, cloud productivity tools, or virtualization technologies
- At least 4 years of experience contributing to open-source frameworks
- At least 3 years of experience with front-end JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks
- At least 4 years of experience creating synchronous and asynchronous APIs
- At least 3 years of experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and automated testing frameworks
- At least 3 years of experience using Git-based version-control systems such as Git, GitHub, or Bitbucket
- At least 3 years of experience troubleshooting technical issues in cloud environments
- Experience using modern AI coding tools and IDE copilots
- At least 1 year of experience mentoring engineers and supporting professional development on technical teams
- At least 1 year of experience using observability to identify and optimize distributed-system performance bottlenecks
- Experience with interactive AI tools beyond basic code completion
- Experience leading cross-functional engineering work or large-scale technical initiatives
- Experience establishing and enforcing coding standards and design patterns across teams
