Descriere

  • Join Capital One’s API Gateway platform team as a full-stack software engineer
  • Design and advance technology solutions through collaborative, inclusive, iterative delivery
  • Apply open-source frameworks and emerging technologies to solve engineering challenges
  • Help modernize and evolve Capital One’s API Gateway platform
  • Develop capabilities using OAuth2, OIDC, gRPC, OpenAPI 3.0, and WIDP-based workload identification
  • Contribute to the next-generation API Gateway developed with Kong
  • Support a mission-critical platform that processes all API traffic, handles billions of daily requests, and reaches peak throughput above 200,000 requests per second

Cerințe

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or a related quantitative discipline
  • At least four years of software engineering experience, excluding internships
  • At least two years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud productivity tools, or virtualization technologies
  • A master’s degree in computer science or a related field is preferred
  • Seven or more years of coding experience with at least two of Go, Java, JavaScript or TypeScript, Python, Rust, C#, and Scala is preferred
  • Experience working with databases and database management systems
  • Experience with AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure, cloud productivity tools, or virtualization technologies
  • Experience contributing to open-source frameworks
  • Experience using front-end JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks
  • Experience developing synchronous and asynchronous APIs
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and automated testing frameworks
  • Experience with Git-based version control
  • Experience diagnosing technical issues in cloud environments
  • Experience using modern AI coding tools and IDE copilots
  • At least one year of experience mentoring engineers and supporting professional development on technical teams
  • At least one year of experience using observability to identify and improve performance bottlenecks in distributed systems
  • Experience with interactive AI tools beyond basic code completion
  • Experience leading cross-functional engineering initiatives or large-scale technical efforts
  • Experience defining and enforcing coding standards and design patterns across teams
