  • Explain the core applications and practical value of artificial intelligence in engineering
  • Train learners to use AI-enabled methods throughout the design process
  • Instruct participants in contemporary CAD processes enhanced by AI
  • Teach generative design and the automated creation of design alternatives
  • Show how AI can inform decisions during product development
  • Cover AI-driven approaches to detecting errors and improving quality
  • Guide learners in reviewing and validating designs produced with AI
  • Help integrate AI capabilities into established engineering and design workflows
  • Coach participants enrolled in the Smart Design: AI Skills for CAD Professionals program
  • Explain the full design lifecycle, covering requirements, concepts, design, variants, optimization, assessment, and documentation

Cerințe

  • Degree or technical qualification in mechanical engineering, design engineering, product development, or a related discipline
  • Two or more years of professional experience in design, development, or technical engineering
  • Advanced proficiency in at least one of Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk Fusion, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA
  • Hands-on experience with parametric modeling and current CAD methodologies
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering design and product development practices
  • Demonstrated ability to apply AI effectively across engineering development and design activities
  • Background in analyzing requirements and shaping initial concepts
  • Experience formulating technical solutions
  • Practical experience in design and 3D modeling
  • Experience generating alternatives through generative design
  • Experience improving components and assemblies through optimization
  • Experience assessing solution variants from a technical perspective
  • Background in identifying faults and enhancing quality
  • Experience producing technical records, specifications, and bills of materials
  • Experience using generative AI tools including Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or equivalent systems
  • Ability to assess AI-produced outputs for function, feasibility, manufacturability, and economic viability
  • Preferred: Familiarity with AI capabilities built into current CAD platforms
  • Preferred: Experience with generative design and topology optimization
  • Preferred: Awareness of recent AI advances in design and engineering
  • Preferred: Experience streamlining development and design processes
  • Preferred: Understanding of parametric design for product variants
  • Preferred: Experience writing prompts for technical use cases
  • Preferred: Knowledge of data protection, copyright, and responsible AI practices in business settings
