Apraksts

  • Build and maintain enterprise application architectures and technology roadmaps.
  • Lead modernization efforts and develop plans to reduce technical debt.
  • Set and oversee architecture standards, design principles, reference architectures, and integration patterns.
  • Assess and approve solution architectures for major initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to consolidate, rationalize, modernize, migrate to cloud, or retire applications.
  • Work with business stakeholders to turn strategic goals into technology capabilities and multi-year roadmaps.
  • Assess enterprise platforms, cloud services, development frameworks, and commercial software.
  • Guide application architects and software engineering teams with technical leadership and architectural advice.
  • Counsel IT leaders on emerging technologies, investments, architectural risks, and technology direction.
  • Enable the Laboratory’s scientific research and business operations with secure, scalable, sustainable technology solutions.

Prasības

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical experience, preferably in computer science, information systems, or a related technical field.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Broad knowledge of application architecture, integrations, data architecture, identity and access management, and modern software engineering practices.
  • Experience setting architecture principles, design standards, reference architectures, and governance across complex application environments.
  • Experience leading application modernization, reducing technical debt, and managing enterprise application portfolios.
  • Strong understanding of strategic and emerging technology trends.
  • Experience assessing enterprise software, cloud services, and technology platforms.
  • Ability to influence executives, business leaders, architects, engineering teams, and strategic partners.
  • Ability to mentor architects and senior engineers.
  • Submit both a résumé and cover letter.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Uncleared Personal Identity Verification (UPIV) credential.
  • Must meet REAL-ID or REAL-ID-compliant documentation requirements for site access.
  • Preferred: at least 15 years of relevant experience.
  • Preferred: master’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
  • Preferred experience with ERP platforms or integrations such as PeopleSoft, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics 365.
  • Preferred experience with Microsoft development technologies, including Azure, ASP.NET Core, ASP.NET MVC, Entity Framework, IIS, and Azure DevOps.
  • Preferred experience with AI-assisted and AI-integrated software development.
